On Thursday, November 10, 2011, I had the opportunity to visit Kenelm Farms in Valatie, NY. Kenelm Farms is an animal sanctuary that rescues lost, abandoned and mistreated pigs. They currently have approximately 20 pigs of differing varieties - large breed; pot bellied; etc, that are allowed to free range. What a fantastic experience! I was literally greeted by various individuals looking to be petted, played with and have their bellies rubbed (I didn't realize how sociable pigs could be!).
