These arches support an elevated train track, shot from an elevated walkway that is used to allow people at ground level to cross to the other side of the tracks, while not permitting them to wander through the arches. Walking through here one day, I was taken by the series of arches and also the way the low sun illuminated the area. I shot this pic from the walkway floor, the lens protruding through the walkway guardrails. I would estimate that this structure dates to the 1920's.
