Construction Stars were placed at the corners of Colonial Era buildings.. with a long iron rod connecting them to similar stars on their opposite corners. This building is very old, late 1700's the owner says, which I can believe given the condition of the bricks! The mate to this construction star no longer exists because an addition was added to the back of the building in the 1900's. Thanks for coming to take a look!
