I caught this pretty display a week or so ago before all the rain and wind arrived. Shot out of an open car window as we were turning a corner! I must include a brief explanation of my long absence from Caedes. No, my friends, I haven't forgotten you! I miss you all! I have looked into Caedes now and then and picked up what appealed to me....and quietly slipped out again. I was preoccupied, preparing for a third ankle operation in the last 5 years. This one was serious and requiring much research and thinking before undertaking it; the ankle will be (has been) frozen into one position, which (I hope) will allow me to walk without pain, if with a cane. There was much to prepare for the convalescence in my house (I live alone) and arranging for periodic care. Today is Day 55 of being in a wheelchair, unable to walk or drive. I expect to go to Day 110 before much changes. However, I am over the worst (in the sense of healing), but into the worst (in boredom)! I have a brand-new Windows 8.1 machine, and I'm busy beating it about the head and shoulders to get it to straighten out and fly right. And, I hope to be back on Caedes...although my photo backlog is low. Every now and then a friend will come to take me for a drive...and of course I bring my camera! So, to all my old friends (and to any new ones), I have missed you and hope to be around more in the near future! ~Sharon
