This is Monument Valley in Southern Utah, U.S.A. The red sandstone monoliths on the horizon are named "The Mittens" The tiny area I'm shooting from is dedicated to John Ford, and I just stumbled across the marker while looking for some foreground material for this shot. He filmed many Western movies in and around this valley, most of which starred John Wayne.
