This area is called Jackson Hole. It is a large flat valley surrounded by mountain ranges in Western Wyoming, and just South of Yellowstone National Park. It's also a haven for huge herds of Elk that come down to Winter in this vallay. The image of fence remnants and the abandoned ranch is the one used in the classic Western movie, SHANE, starring Alan Ladd... and the out of focus mountains are the Tetons.
