I took this on Galiano Island in Canada, edited in Photoshop. They're my friend Hawley's hands, and if you look closely, she's wearing an abalone ring. (Perhaps not abalone, probably a mussel shell. My mother always called them abalone. I like thinking they're more precious than they are.)
