One of my favorite places to visit in Wilmington, NC. I remember giving my dime in 1961 to save the ship from a scrapyard. We saved the ship and now has most of the compartments open for tours or for just walking through them by yourself. Plan to spend some time viewing the ship as to read and see where our fathers may have spent their time in the military.
