I drove 600 kilometres inland last August to get away from coastal clouds for the total lunar eclipse. I never saw one from beginning to end before. It was an awesome experience. The nearest town was 80 kilometres away and all creatures’ great and small became absolutely silent. It was so dark that I had to use a torch to find the camera 1 metre away. This shot was taken during the darkest moments with a 400mm lens at F/5.6, 2-second exposure at ISO 1000 with in camera noise reduction. It hasn’t been enhanced with software, this is what I saw. Enjoy.
