. . . windy night with the moonlight shimmering on the bay. But the oppressive air suggested storms were quickly approaching. The grasses swayed in the strong winds and dark clouds roiled in the sky. Lightening began to crackle in the distance and thunder softly boomed when suddenly, there was a loud noise followed by a gunshot and a bloodcurdling scream.
