Here is a shot of the lion wagon which was part of the circus parade at the turn of the 20th century. The whole caravan of elaborate circus wagons would parade into whatever town was next on the schedule. Lions would roar, the calliope would play and clowns would walk along with the wagons to urge the crowds to come to the circus. These wagons were all hand carved by artisans from wood and elaborately decorated and painted in bright colors with statuary and flags of different nations. They've been meticulously restored. These were from The Circus World Museum in Baraboo Wisconsin that I saw on display in Lake Geneva Wi. a few years ago. I have also been to the museum and it's a fascinating and fun day trip. This is my entry for the "transport" contest.
