This was a new one on me - this flower was discovered by Meriwether Lewis in 1806 growing on rocky cliff sides in the northwestern USA. It was subsequently named after him. It's great for rock gardens and even containers and belongs to the bitteroot family. I'm posting a bit early because we are in for night of bad thunderstorms and I'm concerned about losing power.
