Here is the Mathews House, it's one of the few homes built by those who wanted to "stay awhile". There are also the Gibson houses, which were the same sort of thing. They were built stronger, so that the family could stay warmer and longer.That would be tough, because family life in Bannack at that time went thru terrible hardships.Just to get there they went thru dust storms, drought,starvation, Indian attacks and more. Then to arrive there with no decent place to live. Some lived in their wagons for a while. This little home looked pretty well built. I didn't use the Sepia for it, I kind of wanted all of you to see the "real" colours.The sky was a bit 'washed out' but it was that way most of the time, other then when it had snowed.
