So now we've made full circle, back to the little ghost town of Bannack, Mt. nestled amongst the hills and valley surrounding it, away from people and cars. Scruffy trees, dried grasses, but the scent of Sage is just so sweet. Bannack is a State Park now, with few visitors, but once they've arrived they never forget this lonely little spot. Grasshopper Creek, where gold was found in abundance, gurgles quietly as I sat on the steps of the Hotel Meade. Mule Deer graze in the distance, Marsh hawks fly above welcoming me back once more.Tiny wild daisies gently push thru the cracks of the wooden sidewalks. There are beavers and muskrats swimming in the Creek, but hiding from visitors. Even little squirrels called Chickarees appear now and then searching for food. Montanas state flower, the bitterroot, peeks out now and then too, along with many other mountains flowers. Yes, this little place is a ghost town, but its totally pristine and beautiful.A place for photographers and artists to enjoy. So, if you ever get out to the Pacific Northwest, go to the cowboy town of Dillon and then follow the signs to Bannack and just sit back, breathe, and enjoy those days! Thank you all so very much for enjoying these photos. Watch for my book!!
