This is a scanned image of true cotton bolls, yes it's the way it's spelled. This is what the dictionary says: boll;"the rounded seed-bearing capsule of a cotton plant" After Nikoneer posted a photo of a 'look alike' to the true cotton boll, I thought I'd post this to show everyone the difference between the two. I brought this boll up from Louisiana when we moved to Oregon. I named it pre-teeshirt, because this is the cotton that is spun into a tee shirt. Please enjoy
