Enjoyed a day-long road trip to Mackinac Island on a warm September day in 2005 to bike around the island, enjoy the crystal clear water, shop, and enjoy the views. You have to dress up and pay to walk on the front porch of The Grand Hotel so I took this shot from the street :) The movie 'Somewhere In Time' was filmed on this island and at this hotel! If you look at the ceiling of the porch, you'll notice it's blue...that is so the birds think it's sky so they won't build nests us there!
