one of the Pamphylia region's antique cities. it was a mountain settlement situated 23 km north-east of Side/Antalya. its first name was lybre. from an inscription found in the city, written in side's language, it can be learned that lybre had a long story. on roman coins (30 bc- 395 ad) are shown the holy stone and holy tree old anatolian traditions. this shows that the foundation of the city goes back before hellenistic times (bc 330 - 30 bc)
