The John Muir Trail snakes through evolution basin, by far the most scenic section of the trail that I've seen. You are treated to 7 miles straight of scenery as good or better than this. Mount Spencer (left, 12,431 feet) and Mount Huxley (middle, 13,086 feet) are 2 of many peaks that tower over you as you walk through this landscape.
