Caedes, in the previous discusion you were talking about raster and vector graphics. I am familiar with these terms but i dont really understand what they mean. Could you explain the diference between a raster graphic and a vector graphic? (by the way, do u run this site, ot is your name just caedes?)

Well the short answer is that when you zoom in on a raster graphic image you see pixelation (the individual pixels), but when you do the same to a vector image you just see a bigger image. vector images contain the instructions on how to draw an image "Draw a line from here to here." While rasterized images are built from explicitly placed elements called pixels that have a finite size. Vetor graphics are good when an image is simple and needs to be resized (like a logo), but it is really difficult to represent some things as vectors (a landscape photograph for instance). Hope that help clear some stuff up for you. =)
