Hi, folks. Just went to my user page to check on messages there. Is it just me or has the "overflow" been deleted? Alot of messages seem to no longer be accessible - - ?

I have my overflow messages still, as well. Maybe there's some kind of auto control built into the software that when you have a certain # of messages it starts deleting them ? I don't know hon, just a guess.Did you PM Piner or anyone & ask ?

WEN: when I go to your page it says that the overflow mode is hiding 826 comments. Is this what you see? Send me a screenshot of the page if it is different.

I checked my user page and it was fine, I also checked yours Wen and when I clicked the overflow button, I could see all of them back to the 1st comment. (As far as I can tell anyway). Are there specific comments you're looking for which are no longer there?

as we all know .. sometimes the server glitches and .. uh .. stuff happens .. ;o)

A good way to mess up a page is...well i wont say it, lol. I did it yesterday.

Caedes, for some reason the hidden message message is no longer there and, when I look at my User Page, it starts with the very first message I ever received on Caedes.net. Yep, it appears to be a glitch, but I'm not sure how to fix it. The same holds for other members' User Page as well. I used to see the "hidden messages" message, but now I don't....How do I send you a screenshot of the page, Caedes? Thanks!

well, if you use IE, hit "file" and select 'save as'..and mail the resulting link/ doc to him, or um...take a photo of it?

I don't remember how to do it on a PC, but if you're on a Mac, when you have the image on your screen that you want to send, hit Command+Option+3

Or if you're asking how to e-mail it to him… he's caedes@caedes.net 8•)

OK...I have IE and saved did as you said and saved the file, rob....Now, the question is, how/where do I send the file so that Caedes can open/download it? Thanks for all your help, folks! Wen

Whoops...I should have read your last line better, Cat... I guess I can just email caedes at the address you provided and send the file as an attachment....That's what I'll try to do. Wen

It sounds like your computer is not deleting the cookie that turns off the overflow mode. The caedes.net server tells your computer to delete the cookie after 5 minutes, but it is your computer's job to actually get rid of it. It could be that your computer's time is not set correctly. Otherwsie you can try just deleting all the caedes.net cookies in your browser.

Ahhhhhhhh. Well, that could well be the problem, Caedes. I'm currently not using my computer...am building a new home and currently am staying with Caedes member, Vicvog, and using her computer until my new house is completed not far from where she lives in the next few weeks. Her computer clock is NOT working...I think she needs a new battery. So, I guess the best solution would be to delete the caedes.net cookies. So, let's see....how do I that????<G> Thanks! Wen

I was curious and just checkd out wedpeder's user page and it is not overflowing for me either. My page does though.

Just peeked at Wendy's page. It opens with comments starting at 5/9/06. Clicked on "view" to see overload and the page brought up comments dating back to 5/4/05. Seems to work fine on my notebook.

Well I deleted all IE temporary files and cookies (as Caedes suggested) and I regained access to my overflow messages. Now I'm curious as to why MiLo could not access my overflow...? Anyway, the problem is solved for now from here. Thanks all for your help! Wen
