i am using Red Hat 9 now, i went to compusa and bought "Red Hat Linux 9 Bible" and it has plenty-o-info.
Caedes- I have a Linksys wireless G PCI card ( WMP54G). There are no Linux supported drivers from there web site. As far as i know Linux has not detected the wireless card (right now i am using a 100ft cat5 cable that goes to my router up stairs...hehe). Is there a way to get the windows driver to run in Linux, or is there a general driver?
ok i have found this: ndiswrapper but being the linux n00b that i am, i have no idea what to do after i download it. I have clicked on the install file, its a text document that tells you how to install it, but it is way over my head. ps any help that can be provided is greatly appretiated.
I've not dealt with wireless stuff in Linux before, but I know that you need the wireless tools package in order to configure the card. I will see if I can find any specific info on your card.
ok, it took me one google search to find this link: Linksys HOW-TO.
As a side note: you really should learn to use google for any problems you have with Linux. I guarantee that any problem that you have has come up hundreds of times and is fully documented somewhere on the net. Get used to putting error messages and the like into google. =)
and Red Hat 9.0
can any one help me?
