My mum signed me up for the PSAT test on the same day i did, without talking to me. So yeah.. lol we think alike.

Also, she's so sweet and brought me some stromboli for lunch xDDD

So um...why take the psat, it's basically a practice sat right? (yes i'm taking it) ...so why not just take one of the SAT practice books and go the the thing in the back and take it, and grade yourself?

But yes, Andrew, When i'm a junior i'll be eligable to get scholarships by taking the PSAT, but i've heard it's extremely hard.

You could always try to get first in the "bridge building competition"...it's a national thing, i think, winning that would help. =P U might even see me (doubt it...i'm not a bridge liking person).

FST is Functions, Statistics and Trigonometry

Algebra is soooo easy.. I have this calculator program that does EVERYTHING for you. Here, let me whip it out and see what it does...

the application is called A+ Alg2 and A+ Geom...they do:

Unknowns, quadratic formula, radicals, graph inequalities, logorithms, normal graphing, deg/radians, sequences/series, graph x, form, conics, imaginary, line equ's, factors, quit...

Mult/divide polynomials, poly roots, factor poly, decartes rule, poly^p

Sectors and arcs, pythagorean theorum, radicals, geom. means, circumfrence, factor trinomials, area/volume, distance, midpoint, slope, polygons, factors, unknowns and misc...

Now, i do believe that will get you throughEVERYTHING!

If you have the Ti-84 (for example) you can also use the matrix thing to solve your equations, graph, etc etc...oh, also has a bunch of other good stuff. Ummm...really handy (also makes you dumb). =P ..i never use it except to check answers on tests. Of course, still study, you will need to know how to DO math later in life...like to calculate your chances of survival when flying off a bridge.

Uh...the ti84 is like 90 bucks i think....as for the program, i dunno. I got it from my friend. The 84 (at least mine did) came with the cable to hook up to your computer and there are a bunch of programs to download online....including a first person shooter, but thats a diff story.

...careful, many programs can break your calculator (as in crash, boom, gone, bye bye).

ugh. i hate all those calc. games :P

graphing calculators will save your life if you ever take statistics. Freaking formulas everywhere in that damn class. This is where the formula sheet for my class came from:

P.S. if you have the grades extracirricular activities aren't important...I'm running around with about 25k in scholarships right now and did pratically none.

Students have their fave teachers and worse but beleive me teachers have their lists too. It's not always the smartest ones that are liked the most. Some times it is the ones that keep trying and dont give up or the ones that are just funny even if they dont ever get the grades.

...i honestly dont think that "teaching" style works...i think, like my physics teacher, is somewhat better:

Do whatever you want during class (lol, like almost literally) (during the pledge we, errr, ppl are listening to their ipods, nobody says it, some sing a song/random gibrish/paperairplanes/etc to give u an example of how leniant he is)...so it's either you study and do your hmwk (which is basically where u learn everything), and you can study and geta good grade, or not and get a bad grade.....but grades dont really matter......in a way....

We kinda murmer the pledge, most don't put their hand on their heart, and they sit down on "..and justice". I was actually surprised, because before i switched classes, nobody in my study hall said it. On the first day i started saying it then i felt dumb so i dwindled off in a coughing fit..

But my teachers in class are pretty lax. I'm bound to get a detention before the end of next week if Mr Sekerek keeps his crap up.

wow... your schools seem very.. interesting. ;D Anywho, I have math first period so we say the pledge. Our teacher asks us to stand up.. though we don't have to say the pledge if we don't want to. (pretty cool) Then of course comes the perky annoucements on the t.v. and they just love to scream the phrase, "GOOOD MORNING MCDONOUGH!!!"

I can remember the ground breaking of our school, so i guess it's not that bad... and i can't run down the stairs- becuse stairs frighten me.

Lunch sucks at ours. We had grilled cheese the other day, and it was harder than a crouton.

I did not ... did not know this at the time. Even if you have marks in the 90's ... you can still fail, if you miss X number of days. I came within 2 days of that mark. :o/

Going to school on time is SOOOO easy. I've had...i think, 0 unexcused absences in my life (unless it was in 6th grade and forgot to tell my mom to call and say i'm sick). I missed a total of, about, 2 school days last year (excused of course). :-)
