i have an old 35mm praktica mtl50, and i love it, but i want a good dslr for ease of use and high developing costs. the only problem is, i have a lot of very good(and in their day, expensive) lenses, all of which would cost an arm and a leg to replace for a dslr, as they are all m42 mounts. so i had a look around and found this,

just in case anyone else is in the same boat.....

Many of those old lenses have fabulously smooth focus control rings and super sharp optics. Those adaptors can also be used for slide copiers and bellows etc not just for lenses.

I stop into the local pawn shops to see if there are any good deals and I have noticed alot of very expensive lens and SLR bodies selling for very very cheap!. I'm almost tempted to go back to film ;o)

That thought had occurred to me too, especially when I see the price of medium format gear.

well, i had seen an old canon eos film slr body for ten pounds, im thinking of getting it when im paid. but seeing as i have all the m42 lenses, im thinking about something even older and clankier. all the old 60s cameras are going dirt cheap too...
