From Sarah's journal over on DA, where she goes by the username of MzKitty45601.......
I AM HOME NOW. I HAD A VERY ROUGH TIME. THE SURGERY
LASTED ABOUT 4 HRS AND THEN I SLEPT MOST OF THE DAY.
WELL, LONG ABOUT 10 P.M. I STARTED VOMITTING UNTIL 3:30 A.M.
AND THEY HAD TO CALL IN A 5 MAN SPECIAL EMERGENCY UNIT.
THEY WORKED TO GET MY BLOOD PRESSURE UP, 'CAUSE IT HAD
FALLEN TO 80/40 I WAS WHITE AS A SHEET AND MY TEMP WENT
UP TO 106 BUT, I WAS FREEZING. THEY HAD TO CALL IN THE DR.
AND HE CAME BACK AND HAD TO REOPEN ME UP. I HAD BEEN BLEEDING
INTERNALLY, BUT THEY COULDN'T FIND THE BLEEDER ONCE THEY GOT INSIDE.
THEY FOUND 4 BIG BLOOD CLOTS AND THEY CLEANED ME OUT REAL GOOD
AND PUT IN A DRAIN TUBE. IT LOOKED LIKE A BIG TURKEY BASTER. HA HA
THEY RESTAPLED ME, I HAVE 19 STAPLES AND IT WAS BACK TO RECOVERY AND THEN I.C.U. FOR
ABOUT 6 HRS. I WAS IN SO MUCH PAIN. I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO DIE.
I ENDED UP HAVING A 4 PINT TRANSFUSION. I WAS COLD AND DIZZY AND
HAD THE SHAKES. I NOW KNOW MY BLOOD TYPE. BUT, WHAT A WAY TO
FIND OUT. EVERYONE WAS VERY NICE TO ME. THE DOCTOR SHOWED A LOT
OF COMPASSION AND THE NURSES WERE FANTASTIC. THEY WAITED ON ME
HAND AND FOOT AND GOT ME LOTS OF WARM BLANKETS AND ICE WATER.
THEY WERE GREAT. I ENDED UP WITH A MIGRAINE TUESDAY, TUESDAY NIGHT
AND MOST OF WEDNESDAY. THAT WAS AWFUL. THEY TOOK OUT THE CATHEDAR,
STINT AND DRAIN TUBE THURSDAY AND I GOT ANOTHER STAPLE AFTER THEY TOOK OUT THE DRAIN TUBE, SO THAT MAKES 20 ALTOGETHER. I GOT TO COME HOME THURSDAY NIGHT.
THEY DIDN'T WANT TO SEND ME HOME, BUT I BEGGED.
THE SECOND SEASON OF MY FAVORITE SHOW "SUPERNATURAL" STARTED THURSDAY NIGHT AND I JUST HAD TO BE HOME TO SEE IT. (Oh I'm going to get some scolding for this I'm sure) I could have watched it there I suppose, but I just wanted to be on my couch, in the comfort of my own home, wrapped in my blankets watching it. I was and it was great.

you know the accident I went through Sarah, and like you said,"have faith in god" I was never a "believer",, and thought of God severl times. As a child being bounced around, home to home in the fostering homes,ii prayed so many times and always thought why Isnt he helping me,30 years went by,then I seen first hand, god did...he gave me the strength to overcome what lied ahead.Believing helped me,and your kind words,I now have the strength, and from the heart not from pills....luv ya gurl!
