Hmm, I’m always very wary of automated perspective correction tools as they often are either quite ineffective as they don’t usually resolve the image fully – either by leaving barrel or perspective corrections untouched if both appear or worse, they can over emphasise fringing on digital images.

Personally, I prefer to just use regular transform tools in Photoshop or Elements with the grid view turned on so that you can make your corrections more intuitively and in real time. For barrel distortion I tend to use either the Photoshop lens distortion tool separately or apply a slight pinch. I’ll give this a go though and see how it pans out.
