NASA’s Exploring Space Challenges educational programme is currently running a competition open to individual classes or whole schools to create a model, digital photo scrapbook, descriptive essay and a name for the next construction node for the International Space Station due to be launched next year. Sounds simple enough and the winning school gets to name the module and guarantee their own little place in space exploration history. Teachers or administrators can get more info here, but there is only around six weeks left to get submissions in.

hey .. let's form our own school .. we have the snot-nosed ingrates .. er .. teenagers ...

and plenty of people who can't do, and therefore teach .. (me? I teaches grammar!) .. (not spelling)

and ... our secret weapon ... (*drum roll*) ... (*wait for it*) ... nmsmith ...

Now you just have to come up with a name for our winning entry!

as an alternative - cant we just take all the teenagers, lock them in a capsule and blast them into space sans oxygen supply. now that would make a very interesting scrapbook.

I dont think my class could make a model of a module...nor complete a scrap book AND an essay in LESS than 6 weeks...impossible.
