Unsharp Mask Recommendations = Dont use it. Use Smart Sharpen instead. it's much less clumsy and doesnt rely on framing your pixels with black and white borders.
The principle of using high percentages vs. small pixel radius has always been the norm in USM - usually using a value less than one - say 0.5 works best with percentile values between one and two hundred percent.
That's what I figured...when they figure out how to incorporate it into 7 for free as they should, I will start using it. Or when you send me a copy lol
Photoshop Elements 5 incorporates a 'reduced' version of smart sharpen in the Adjust Sharpen feature but it's more or less the same thing so get your hand in your (collective) pockets.
