i work on 3 different computers. 2 are macs and 1 a pc. i use both cs and cs2. i know this sounds dumb but the same image can look very different (colorwise) from one screen to another. how do i solve this and make them more similar? (please don't say "just use 1 computer")

unless they are all exactly the same make monitor you probably wont get an exact match. the closest you will get is using hardware calibration set to the same variables and ensure the same icc profiles are used on your photoshop colour settings.

You can check out a Huey Right Here . You really wouldn't need three if all three computers are in the same room.

randy, the computers are not all in the same room......not even in the same house. it bothers me when i work on a picture on my computer and then check it with one of the others and find the image to look really different than what i thought. how difficult is the huey thing? i'm too dumb to do something hard. thanks for writing.

The Huey is very easy to set up and run, however, since they're not in the same room you might want to go with Uncle Phil's advice regarding ICC profiling each machine. Unfortunatly me knows nothing about that, just have heard about it.
