A Voting Game!!!

::madmaven

This probably should go into an ART related thread...but I thought I'd go ahead and place it in offtopics...because this is where the traffic is.
In this game....you simply go into Voting Booth, VOTE.....and then
choose the most interesting 2 artworks you voted on today...and maybe explain what you found interesting about it....and link the work if you can, or at least give the title of the art and the artists.
This gives people OFF our "friend list" some attention, and also encourages us all to help one another daily by VOTING!:)

OK: I'll begin:)

Most interesting work I saw today/ voted on, was

Forsaken which is a collab work that I think really is very nicely done. I do remember seeing Forsaken before and I like what this artist has done with it.

I also choose a work by our famous and well loved Nathan Smith: and do I even need to explain what I like or find interesting? Hmmm well....I love that he did this with Tierazon. I love that program and though I cannot do anything like he can do with it....it has been much kinder to me than apophysis.:) Nice work both of ya's!

Well, having reached the limit of 40 votes, I didn't find anything in the VB that really 'did it' for me. So I went back through the New Images and found...
Swirly by Speedy_10, who is just 15yo and learning fast...
and also worth a mention is Mythica, who has a very varied GALLERY here.
Being fairly new here myself, I think this is a great idea. So I have avoided the obvious and already well known artists, which I think is the point of this thread?

To me, going in the voting booth is kinda' like going to a movie except you don't know what's playing til it starts...sometimes the show is good, but other times it's fantastic...today was one of those blockbuster days for me...I liked so many of them but here's a couple that I really liked alot:

Cathedral Close Winchester by Trevorcardigan...a wonderful water color of a beautiful building and grounds...really well done

AND

A Patch of Blue in the Morning; Part 1 by Verena...a dramatic, long-range view with magnificent low dense clouds and some great fall colors as well...

Hmm ... maybe this threads' title should be changed to "Les' favourites of the day." :oP

Undaunted ... I continue and present this offering from amida, "Tor View."

Quite powerful and highly evocative to me. Have a look and see what impression you come away with.

Next, Milan (aka 011art) provides some very, very high quality concept pieces. Go here for his latest; "LSV - mode 7" and check out his gallery and website if conceptual art and fractals are of interest to you. This guy is a pro.

An example of precision work in fractal land. Absolutely a razor sharp render from Wendy; aka WENPEDER.

And here is one from the frame master hisownself, Rob; aka thirdeye. I am starting to think he has a grid implant on his corneas. :oP

Lyn; aka LynEve struts her stuff with this visual offering. I particularly like the treatment of the frame as a great compliment to a fine photo. (A request though ... decide on a name please and put in on your profile, k? ;o) )

Well done guys. :o)

Get thee to the voting booth.

Wow ... what an incredible day. I was blown away by the images I saw today.

And because there were so many deserving images ... bear with me ... this could take a bit. Shall we? Good good.

In no particular order ...

Gmod 10 2nd Rendering is an astounding piece of cgi. Courtesy of Stephen; aka Stev0_1337. You really need to see this one.

Next up ... Rob's; aka Neamh, visual offering that will draw you in guaranteed. Morning Calm 2. He does such fine work. Please visit his galleries as well. You will ... will not be disappointed.

Fractals? You bet. Check this one out by Carol; aka yellowdog07.
Twistin' It Up. A wonderful and simple clean render ... with splashes of great colour. I like it a lot.

And last ... but certainly not least ... one of my all time favourite artists on the site. In fact, it was one of Roberts'; aka trisbert, images that first drew me to the site.

A little different ... I find it intriguing and mesmerizing. Moonlighting.

If you are looking for inspiration ... *whispers* ... get ... thee ... to ... the ... voting ... booth. :o))

Thank you to the artists today. I appreciate your talents and efforts.

I have always been a fan of "Digital_Angels" work. She have a special "eye" for photography and can turn "trivial" things into interesting and esthetic forms. If she take a photo of trees it has a Digital_Angels touch and that appears in all her works in my opinion. I cant name any certain images ,I just think she is great and her images always communicate so well.
That girl has the "magic Eye". And she is only 17!!

It is a very intriguing and interesting shot Matt. :o)

Now then ... todays' gold:

Robert; aka legster69 is still putting forth stellar shots of our fine-feathered friends, as in this one, Logged On.

Mariana; aka MarianaEwa will make you look twice ... or three times, at her Legoland 3. Had me looking four times before it dawned on me what the image is in fact. :o))

I strongly suggest you take a look at the fantastical and accomplished artistry of Jason; aka Jay_Underwood ... latest offering of Contemplating when.. .

And if you have a moment visit his images' page and give him props for an excellent piece. I will. :o)

Gonna bookend this post with another one of legster69s'. The expression he captured ... is priceless ... in his But I Wuv You!.

Pretty good day in the voting booth, I'd say. :o)

A banner day in the booth. :o)

Shall we?

First up, is an endearing shot and a wonderful composition guaranteed to bring a smile to your face courtesy of Sandi; aka tigger3 ... time for Waking up.

Kristof; aka kodo34 presents an incredibly intriguing look once again through his lens at the world around us, and seldom seen with his F4.0. Take a few moments to fully take this one in. It's time well spent and a lesson in technique as well.

There's just something compelling about the destructive power of fire found here in Kristens'; aka Krissy420 photo The Roof is on Fire!.

And rounding out the gold 'found in them thar hills' ... all plays on words intended ;o) ... come courtesy of Bobs'; aka Dunstickin image ... Leading to a Higher Authority!

Wonderful colour and a most judicious employment of the vertical format now available to the artists on the site here.

As they say ... enjoy. :o)

Have a look ...

First off, a simple ... but not simplistic by no means ... image from ferit; aka Ferit. Locust.

Great presentation and execution on this one.

And once again, kodo34; aka Kristof stuns me with his proficiency behind the lens with From the Shadows. A most aptly titled image and a most professional capture in all respects.

Rounding out the gold from the booth ... an abstract. Hey now ... I just ... just saw the name of the creator behind this flame.

:o)

Well done Jacqueline ... on Masquerade. Gorgeous colour and again, a most fitting title to a piece.

That's it for today folks. Have a look see ... you know you want to ... don't you? :oP
