I would prefer that submitting a post to a discussion thread returned me to the thread and not the forum. Right now I have to find the thread again and scroll down to check my post. I always do this due to the buggy display of text in forms in Firefox.

That's certainly something to consider. Thanks for mentioning it.

When a thread is posted to, it is moved to the top of the list in it's forum. So there is no searching for the thread.

I personally like it how it is and would be disappointed if it changed. Once i leave a comment i want to get on to the next thing, so always hitting back would be annoying in my opinion. As suggested in the other threads a preview option would solve the same problem, but it would make it an option, not something that is mandatory.

It could be an option anyway. You'd need two buttons, of course - "Post and return to forum" and "Post and view" or something like that. Preview would also work. I just thought this would solve the problem if that's difficult to implement. I almost always have to edit posts immediately as I can't see what I'm typing properly in the box.
