Banners

Those are the actual size of the banners, which will (maybe) be used as an advertisement on this site. You can refresh the pages to see the banner ads they have right now, so the expectations for looks isnt very high.

So, basically:

1) Which one looks better
2) How can i make it look better
3) Is the logo THAT important, and can you see the logo on the top banner?
4) Do you think a tennis ball on a raquet w/ the UGT logo on the ball would look good or would that waste my time
5) Can you read the letters (b/c of colors, size, etc)? If you think it's too small, i dont know how i could make it better (while still using the same theme) :-S

I like the top one better. And you can't quite see all the logo. If it's being used as an advertisment, you can't see enough of it. If everybody pretty much knows the name of the site it's just on the banners anyway, your safe. To go around that you could somehow flip the image sideways and have the horizontal line on top. Then put the logo on that one. I can read the letters fine. It might, MIGHT, be better if you squeezed a tennis ball in there somehow but I don't see how that's happening.

...oh, thanks. "Flip the image sideways and have the horizontal line on top," ...the logo still wouldent be more visible that way either? I guess maybe if i SHRUNK the logo so it doesnt go around the edges of the string and put it in an area that's more focused? ...i'll try that.

As for my tennis ball idea, I was thinking more along the lines of taking a new picture, but yeah, your right, "i don't see how that's happening" since the baner is 468x60px! :-S

PS: Sparkling news...i was going to work on the banner, and guess what. "What?" Well, umm...i merged all the layers and i didnt save my drafts! Ahhh, grrrr....guess i'll clone it out.

PS#2: Ok so nothing really changed...i expected the logo to come out clearer.

OHH!! I'm sorry...when u said "...you can't see enough of it" i thought you were just talking about the ball logo symbol thing. Oh your also talking about the whole 'undergroundtennis.com.' Yeah, um 2 ways around that:

1) Bigger banner = impossible
2) new idea = maybe not as unique + work (but still an option)
3) Shrink the text, but that would look akward...i have a modified version here <-- Terrible quality, but i can redo it.
4) Hopefully ppl on a tennis site know that it says "tennis".

that seams very big - at 120 deep, it's twice as deep as a standard 468 banner and may be viewed as a little too obtrusive.

The banner is actually 468x60...i just put 2 of them on 1 image so i could save uploading clicks? *lost*
