I usually don't buy photo mag's, mostly because I can usually find the info I need on the net. But I was at the campus bookstore perusing the magazines and came across Photo Life and was impressed by it. I guess last month's issue was their 30th anniversary issue (crazy, cause I'd never heard of them before!). Anyways, I decided to buy this months issue because it had an article that I thought I'd like to read (once my finals are done of course :)) on the legalities of publishing candid shots. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the photos in it! Some really amazing work! I'd recommend checking it out, it only costs $5.95 (CAD) or $5.50 (USD), and has more content than advertising which is always nice. Plus for you Canadians out there it'll give you a chance to support a homegrown magazine!

i think i was looking through that same magazine at a library as well. It looked pretty good to me. It had an awesome Albert Einstein quote in it. "Never memorize something you can look up again". That is going to be my life model now.

Hi,my name is Rob..ok, so I'm not the greatest at replies and comments. Sorry. For anyone needing to contact me, my email is back up in my profile. >> my cluttered mess of a gallery
Do you suspect becoming a victim of mass spamming ... 'cause to me, having the title and position of "Praetor" for the web site "Caedes.net" and bearing the distinction of "HKotDA" would surely justify a subscription in my mind.
EDIT: I just pared down my posting here to the gist of what I was trying to ask Darryl. The continuity of the thread should be better now. My apologies.
Does that make you associate photography with pain or happy gas? Mass spamming afirmative...how else could they afford to hand out a big glossy magazine for free?
So, anyone else have any favourite photo mag's? I really like the look of some of the more indy/smaller photo/design mags. Although I can't remember the names....
