You mean your subscribed images? I just keep them subscribed indefinitely, you never know when someone might comment on one... which, come to think of it, is the exact reason you need subscriptions in the first place.

If I may interject Sam ... I believe Mike is enquiring about deleting images from his gallery of work once the activity has lessened on the commentaries.

Mike there is a period of time where an image is on display as a "New Image" in whichever appropriate category of art. After a month or so, a decision is reached as to whether the image should be promoted to the "Permanent Galleries" of that category.

In your Caedes Control, images that have not made it into the permanent galleries (which in itself is a bit of a misnomer, as periodically these galleries are culled as well) are denoted with an asterisk.

At that point if you feel you wish to do some spring cleaning and delete your image ... feel free. However, a new feature of the site does provide for archiving images. So, a place exists for all images. The good, bad and the ugly, so to speak.

Deleting an image of yours prior to the decision of entry to the pernanent galleries would be premature and could rob you of some valuable feedback and suggestions. Additionally, if one of your images makes it into the permanent galleries and you were to delete it ... you might be robbing someone the pleasure of viewing it.

As your galleries of work grow ... it it suggested to consider those images that are not representative of your growth and accomplishments artistically and do some culling yourself.

I think the middle ground is best. One's gallery should show your personal growth as an artist. And in my mind that means some works representative of where you came from and some of where you are headed.

Last word to be clear ... deleting should be the action of last resort and after having given some consideration on your part. Once deleted from your Caedes Control ... it is off the site's servers. This is a permanent action.

Hope that helps.
