Just wondered.....could this be a good idea or workable?
When voting.....could something be added, if a person gives a 0 or a 1, like a mandatory type line that the voter would be required to say why they are giving a vote of zero or one? For that matter...even if giving a ten -same could be applied?
It may slow down the hate voting and also the "just coz you are my friend" biased voting?
The statement line would be confidential...but it might still hold people accountable for questionable type votes?
I don't feel it would put HONEST people in a bad position....though the guilty may feel a bit uncomfortable....
for example....let's say...somebody takes a blurry shot of a cigarette butt snuffed out on the ground.
I would be ok with giving a 0 or a 1.....and if I needed to type a "reason for this score of less than 2"? I'd say sincerely: in my opinion....this sucks.
yes...everyone CAN say that same reason on every image they rate lowly...but I think after awhile, the ones who vote specifically low on work deserving better just because they "don't like fractals", "don't like the artist"...etc...would become very exposed and maybe a bit less likely to contribute misery to others? I have always said low votes should be investigated ... if the image clearly doesn't deserve a low score .... bounce 'em

As you can see....my idea does NOT alter what Caedes already has going on, except it simply holds the voter accountable for votes of 10 and votes under 4. SIMPLE....reasonable......and doesn't require anything extraordinary or too complicated to utilize.
