Raw Therapy is a free raw file converter that does an excellent job. It does seem to be slower than some commercial converters. However I’m finding that the level of detail, the colour reproduction and lack of artefacts is better than most. Interested? you can get it here
Just wanted to let you know that this post is proving to be invaluable to a number of people faced with diminishing or now, non-existent RAW support for their cameras.
I personally have passed this information along to two members; one who has installed it and the other seriously contemplating the switch over from Adobe's Lightroom Beta program ... due to expire, I believe, as a free app this upcoming spring.
Thank you for having brought this to the memberships' attention.
Adobe only adds new camera support to the latest version of their software. If I bought a new camera Adobe would not support it without an expensive upgrade to photoshop.
I’m glad that people are finding this software useful. It’s worth having at least one extra raw converter in your arsenal to give more choice to the look of your photos.
