All the thumbnailed images have disappeared. I checked
the header request page (URL) and it is correct. Not
a firewall issue or hotlink situation. Worked fine for months.
Only difference is, I switched to Firefox browser....a couple of weeks ago. Cleared cache (cookies). Any suggestions?
how about ... TOOLS \ OPTIONS \ CONTENT tab .... "Load Images" ..
also, since it is easy to accidently click "Block Images From Caedes.net" when trying to click "Set as Wallpaper" ... check the "exceptions" button across from it
I just woke up .. so I'm not on top of my game (NO JOKES) .. not that I am when I'm awake
Thanks.....but I had that Tools\Options\Content\ Load Images
checked and in the Exceptions - Cades.net
"allowed"......in addition to the other actions
I listed. Dead End.
well .. Firefox allowed me to use the site after about ten months of IE not working
try removing caedes from the exceptions list entirely and just having the [x} LOAD IMAGES checked .. leave the "originating website only" un-checked .. (although I think changes have been made recently concerning THIS site to send images from the top-level domain)
and .. for grins and giggles .. make sure that both JAVA related lines are checked
RE: firewalls ... sometimes a firewall sees the thumbs as ADVERTS .. so check into that option on your firewall
Here is a good test. When you see that an image is missing, right-click on the image and look at the option just below "set as desktop wallpaper" which says "block images from i2.caedes.net." If there is a small dot or check mark next to this line then you have accidentally clicked on this and are blocking the images. Click on it again to unblock (un-check) the option.
I don't have that option on my "right click"
menu in Firefox 2.0. I have "set as desktop background" and underneath is "properties".
That why I couldn't figure out what this option is....anywhere. It doesn't exist in FireFox 2.0 (latest version). I have a hunch
something happened on the caedes.net end.
The images were there with Firefox prior
to this weekend. They also were there with
IE6 SP2. The browsers and firewall settings
are the same....as when the images were working. Again.....I'm using Firefox 2.0
not 1.5. And other sites' thumbnails with
Firefox 2.0 work fine.
Beats me. I like Caedes' photos ...I just
have to click "blindly" on blanks and see
what's underneath ... in order to choose a
desktop background. Tedious.
Firewall (ZoneAlarm Free) has no setting for
advertisments. JAVA is on. HTTP_REFERER header is correct. The only other software
conflict I can think of is "AdBlock Plus"...but
I tried disabling it for caedes.net and still no
luck.
