Is there any way of accessing an author by username? rather than as a graphical list? Have i missed the point here..

I'm sure sure exactly what you mean, but I think I know what you are talking about. You can click on "(profile)" by there name after you click the image and enter the image where the comments are, that is where you will find the profile link.

Yes I understand that, but I want to find an author by name not image. What happens for instance if someone is a away or not so acxtive.?

I think he means an author list but without pictures, just a list of names.

the problem is - it is impossible to find an author in the author list unless u know approx. where they are already or have enough time to search through all the authors till u get lucky.

If you know their name you can use the wallpaper search.

When I find an image I like, but I don't know the author, I use the "search wallpaper" function by using the author's signature name (username). Then, if he/she has left personal information in their profile, I can conduct another search using these new parameters.

If you already have an image by the author then you should be able to just click on the user's name to go to their gallery. The wallpaper search engine actually indexes the author's name with the image, so a search for the username will give you all their images.

actually...i just searched my own name and only 20 of my images were returned - 3 of which were deleted and didnt show up.

Yeah, the search will always return a maximum of 20 images. Once you find one image by that author you can go to their gallery by clicking on their name on one of their image pages.

It'd be cool if u could specify how many results u wanted. It'd also be cool if deleted images didnt show up in the searches.

Oh yeah...while i'm thinking of it...I got a PM from a non-member the other day. their was no name attached sos i didnt know who it was from. later i fould out who it was and they said they dun even have an account here, they were just messin around.

When the site is updates you will be able to veiw images sorted by author, I assume this will be alphabetical.
