Another proof of negativism on this web site, I think it can't be allowed to say such bad words on this image from BJB, after having a 99% she doesn't deserve it for all her good work and effort. I become sick of such persons.
Joost, people like that are a complete waste of time and space. They have no purpose in their lives except to try and upset other people. I have advised caedes of this comment, apart from that it is probably best to ignore them.
I am so glad that this negative comment has been deleted. What a sad person that young man must be.
Bjb knows how much other people enjoy her work... perhaps that other person feels that they may never have that sort of support. And they never will unless they wake up.
I agree with you, Mum, and I think you hit the nail on the head as to the probable motivation for such negativism. It's a crying shame that someone who has worked so hard, and so successfully, to improve her skills was chosen to be the recipient of a rude and pejorative comment.
Hi Good People. Yes, that was cruel and scary. I'm grateful no one else will be reading it and thankful it was removed quickly. Thank you dear Joost, Sam, and Pierre for getting it taken care of so quickly and thank you to the rest of you for your encouraging comments. My biggest hope is that it was not someone on here who is a regular visitor that really has spite for me and feels they can't deal with me directly. Choosing such a sneaky way to get an attack in. It's those whose works and comments I've appreciated that can hurt me far more by being non constructive with their comments than any outsider playing around in the middle of the night just for kicks. I can create some lousy images. No doubt. I give them a bit of time if I can stand the embarrassment, just to double check myself and then I remove. Sometimes one I don't care particularly for does well and that's when I chalk it up to "art" and beauty being in the eye of the beholder. What right do I have to question someone's personal taste and not appreciate it, however I will certainly always be fearful of evil posts. I've had a good night's sleep and I'm just fine my friends. It hurts and concerns me far more when it happens to one of you. Thank you again. Much respect and appreciation. B.J. :)
It's alway unfortunate when a comment of this nature appears on this site. I, too, am glad the comment has been deleted and no one else subjected to that kind of lunacy. BJ my apologies that you appeared to be the target, but I think it was just your unlucky day. Congratulations to the mods for their quick action in removing this.
He seems to have just picked some images rated at 99:100 and decided to find something to make stupid comments about. I've removed several of his comments, and seriously edited 2 others. There is still one comment of his that I haven't seen. (It hasn't been complained about.)
I sent a PM to him regarding his comments, and referred him to the code of conduct page. If there is more trouble, we can call on caedes to bring some administrative pain to his account.
Administrative pain at the very least is in my opinion most called for, but I know all the right steps have to be taken and attempted first!! Thanks again Mike.
Another fact and a half Clayton, I respect it and know it to be true. But, I really don't give two hoots what floats his boat and I appreciate the good that will and does come from this. It always wins. If anything, he's creating blessings. I hope that really ticks him off!!!
To me it's like a gang member committing a drive by shooting he has no specific target but he hurts someone. It's random yes. But the point is he hurt somebody and got away with till the next time. You may think this is a drastic way to look at things, but it's the same mentality. Bullies are not allowed the steel your dignity and go on to the next person.
Granted I didn't see the "offensive" material, but it seems everyone here is a bit overprotective and sensitive to their work( I completely understand, I'm the same way ). However people are more than entitled to their opinions, and I certainly enjoy a good critique-ing of my work. I think what alot of us are doing is scaring people away from giving us constructive criticism so we can get better.
rustrectrum - you may misunderstand the posts above ... the comment they refer to was offensive, not constructive criticism. It was deeply offensive to all who saw it.
I think that was just a misunderstanding. It's sorted out now. The comments referred to in this post were a different matter altogether, just a blatant and deliberate attempt to upset people and get a reaction. Now that it's been dealt with I think it best if we just let this post go now.
These comments were NOTHING like jono's....they were violently abusive (at least I happen to consider a demand for the artist's self-immolation, and other disgusting suggestions, to be abusive).
