That's just the way it works...who knows? There is no rhyme or reason to any of the c-index. It's all based upon first sight and whether or not it appeals to the eye. Technical merit plays very little into the equation. Not good for improvement of ones technical skills.

I guess I reallly knew that but it's a shame! Where is my perfect world? Still, there are more good things here than bad, so I'm still glad I've visited - for a while anyway.

You probably uploaded on opposite day...don't do that. Do it on the other day, that always gets me a H U G E c-index, even if I think it's junk.

which rather makes one feel slightly ever so slightly thick.

Just try chanting(under your breath. if people you live with are likely to get you taken away) as you upload a pic you (secretly) like "this pic will sink into the lowest level of c-indexs, probably lower than to lowest ever" - and low and behold, the following day there it will be right shiny and beamingly up there near the top. It is so simple I wonder not everyone uses this method.
Of course it works in reverse, if you have one that you wish to see go down down down the lead balloon path, just chant the opposite. I don't tell many people but that is the reason for so many of my low scores - its all planned by me - I actually like it that way lol.

I'm actually doing the same! I am striving now for the largest amount of low scores on my gallery! I do regular weeding to ensure this!
As you say, it does make one doubt one's own taste and judgement!

c-index'in is CRAP!! Do what YOU do 'cause YOU wanna do it...that's what I do!! Do I look....yeah!! Do I care...NO!!

Do I learn and listen...oh Hell yeah!! Maybe I got's an idea, but someone gives it a tweak and really makes something shine! Or I take part of their idea and part of mine and merge the two. YOU can't begin to believe the stuff I've learned off Caedes.net, that's why I'm here....it's a tool...use it!!
