after looking at the quality of the work submitted here i am quite interested in getting involved with the abstract pics .. what is the best way? are there any tricks of the trade ? what equipment is required
i am a complete novice and any hints or some help would be great.
thanx,

hero

well, if u have photoshop, just put any picture in a mess around for a while, and u ussually will end up with somthing cool (thats what i do).
But are u into digital art, or photography?

woops, i forgot to ask about 3D modeling. So if u meant digital art, the best program you can use is Photoshop7. But if u don't have that much money you can use Jasc as well (just look in Suggested Software and it will tell you.) What i generally do is take a picture, open it with Photoshop and just play around a little bit...look in my gallery to see what I mean. If u meant 3D modeling, try FormZ, Bryce, 3D StudioMax, there are some other ones too. I have used FormZ and 3D Studio Max personally, and FormZ is incredible for like individual objects, and i suppose the Studio Max is good for like big lanscapes and stuff...but i have'nt had much succes in the 3D realm...so i hope this helps =)
