Well, is my Freudian slip showing.. ... carrying on then..

A's:

1) 'Up North'. Really. Love our outdoors, or 'cottage country', as it is also known. Fishing, clean waters ... fresh air. Breathtaking sights and sounds (love the call of the loon).

International travel lost some more appeal for me (unfortunately), due to the additional trials and tribulations that come with nowadays.

Notwithstanding the fact that most travels abroad are becoming more and more of a 'once in a lifetime' thing, due to costs. Can't imagine doing a trip like that 'on the cheap'.

2) Chef de cuisine, head chef.

Not executive chef, however. Prefer to stick with that of only the creative cooking side of things, as opposed to the management decisions.

Author.

Creative Director at an Ad Agency.

3) New rig. As in, a beast of a gaming pc.

Q's:

1) Why is the "White House" white instead of another color?

2) Can you solve the Rubik's cube?

3) Cell phone? Or, pc? You only get to choose one, which would it be and why?

1. Well, the British did try a little variety in the form of a "fire-aged" look in 1814, but the Americans disagreed on principle with anything the British did.

2. Not likely, and wouldn't have the patience to try.

3. PC - one can accomplish so much more. And I don't talk on the phone that much anyway. I prefer having time to think about what I want to say.

1. What's your indulgent breakfast of choice?

2. Do you pay any attention to the nutrition information on food containers?

3. What time do you usually get out of bed?

A's :

1. Simple ... a banana.

2. Absolutely not.

3. Depends on how late I stay up at night. Actually around 8 AM or so during the winter months ... 6 AM during the warmer months. I have an internal alarm clock & as you can tell it's seasonal.

Q's :

1. How many times a month to you eat out at a nice restraurant? ... this excludes fast food places.

2. Are you thinking about upgrading your camera or purchasing a new camera?

3. Do you feed the birds during the winter months?

Currently, there are about 60 birds at my feeder station. Rather chubby ones too.

1. Birthdays and anniversaries, maybe 4 times / year.
. . Just for anyhow (Entrées < $20), 1-2 month.
. . Gourmet meals at home . . . priceless.

2. No, hafta' start using what I have!

3. Yes, making tons of suet blocks. Birds are cool.

Q's :

1. Have you ever frequented dining establishments simply for prestige, ambiance, social environment, etc.?

2. Do you have pets indoors?

3. Are you more likely to wind down watching an old movie, or something cutting-edge?

1. "Frequent" is not a word to be used for the relationship between me and dining establishments, especially not at my own expense.

2. Except for a couple "escapes" in the past month (during which he got spooked as he deserved and was quite eager to come back inside), Dusky has spent his whole life indoors.

3. Well, I never see anything until some time after it has been released on DVD, so "cutting-edge" is probably not a useable word either. My favorite fare tends to be the BBC productions of classics, particularily Charles Dickens and Jane Austen. I'm working on Martin Chuzzlewit right now.

1. Are there any recent clothing trends that you really dislike?

2. Could you be described as "stylish"?

3. Would you like a 4-pack of 35mm film I recently discovered in my desk?

2) Yes!!

Have not ever attended one bad concert. And live trumps all others.

3) Brown rice, with peas and pea-meal bacon.

And if you can believe, I ate all of it. All one and a half cups of rice (pre-cooked, that is).

Q's:

2) Which of Snow White's seven dwarfs describes you best and why? (Doc, Happy, Bashful, Sleepy, Sneezy, Grumpy, Dopey.)

1. 2009, I think... prior to that it would have been 1987. Lack of opportunity (ie snow) rather than lack of enthusiasm on my part.

2. Can't recall specifically, but probably not that long ago, to retrieve something or other or lop off a branch... for fun, probably too long.

3. Deliberately? Probably have to say crocodile... don't think I have had emu before, though it's possible... also have had kangaroo many times. Other than that I think I had several unusual sea creatures at a chinese new year thing (sea cucumbers and the like). Accidentally... the usual types of flying insects, and according to the urban legend several spiders whilst I slept.

1. Something not too common. There are several months - I know a September, but then people would think I was born in September, which I wasn't ... April is nice but too common. Or gemstones, like rubies, sapphires, diamonds, but then people would think I was black, which I'm not.
If I had to change my name I'd do a lot of research first, but all things considered I'd better stick with what I've got ...

2. I didn't really have any bad roommates. My freshman year I had a roommate who is still a good friend, now a missionary in the Philippines. I also had a Mexican roommate, a real "live wire". She had a cousin down the hall who's now my sister-in-law .... We had a 4th roommate who came 2nd semester, she was probably the "worst" - she did look down on me, but we got along okay. Funny, I don't much remember my sophomore roommates, and then I lived at home after that.

1. Not into my own house, and not because I forgot my key, but I did have to "break" into my uncle's house a few years ago. I was there "Granny-sitting" after my grandmother had come down with Alzheimer's disease. For some reason they kept the front door locked, and I went out for something and left it open but Granny came and closed it. She smiled and waved at me through the glass but wouldn't open the door. Fortunately this was a common scenario at that time, and they had a ladder and unlocked bedroom window readily available.
