i was lucky enough to get one of each of the above for christmas. needless to say, one is going back. does anyone know about these to help me with the decision? jen

If I can help you, I would take the nikon, the batteries last longer, and there are just a few more little differences, but choose the one you like the most!

Wow those two are similar:P. I would say play with em both and see which one you like better. You can probably go with your gut and make a good choice. Looking at the specs, and past experience with friend's Nikon and canon point and shoots, i would slightly lean toward the canon, but there is really very little difference on paper. So go with what you are liking if you ask me. I would look for things like how it fits in your pocket, how it feels in your hand, how you like the screen on the back, how you like the menu, and the biggest thing i would look at is how easy it is to do your own settings with them (that is something you might not care about though)
