Hi everyone, my Name's Dave, i'm a sort of rookie photographer who came across this site yesterday. I've been reading some of the FAQ's and looking at some of the pics and i thought i'd try and get involved myself in this community. So i thought it would be best to ask how thinks work around here, as every forum is different. I havn't got any photos to post at this moment in time but i can post some later, but i'm interested in making web art and abstract desktop backgrounds. My main aim is to improve my artistry skills on the computer. So who's the good guys around here? Anyone i should watch out for? Any tips or hints would be appreciated. Appart from that, Hi everyone. :)

For abstract and digital art, talk to TRACYJTZ or Cain - at least they're my favorites :)

Hi there. Well, most people are pretty friendly here. I'm sure most artists would be happy to give you some tips.

You might wish to look at the suggested software or the FAQs. I don't know if that helps at all.

There are also a few tutorials, but they are more recent - we haven't really got a tutorial system going as such, it's all pretty laid back, and that's fine with me.

First of all, welcome to Caedes.net. : ) I'm with Capt on this one. Everyone here is pretty open and friendly. If you see something that you like and want to know how they did it more than likely you will get what you are looking for by asking that artist or photographer. And if you are looking for suggestions - you can find that here as well. : )

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I just sort of realised that this post should be in the off-topic forum, so my apologies. Anyway, i look forward to making some nice backgrounds, and i can upload plenty of photographs that people are allready using in desktops-but i'll have to do it at home (i'm in school at the mo). Thanks for the welcome, i'll upload some images later.
