Yes, I have noticed it also. The thumbnails, including the three featured images on the home page, and images on their comments pages have been taking a while to load, yet the fullsize images load in no time. I believe it is because the thumbnails and comment page images are stored on a seperate server. I will bring this thread to caedes' attention.

I'm very close to getting a new server dedicated to sending out images. Right now, the thumbnail server is doing other things that are making it slow.
