Waaay download some honky code dat gots'ta allow ya' t'resize. Try Photofiltre. In de honky code search fo' an opshun dat says "resize" image t'1600x1200 pixels. If it looks squished o' stretched, dat's sump'n else t'ax' (snatch'd longa' to 'esplain).

If that was hard to understand, try a different dialect:

Download a program that will allow you to resize. Try Photofiltre. In the program search for an option that says "resize" image to 1600x1200 pixels. If it looks squished or stretched, that's something else to ask (takes longer to explain).

If you're interested, there's a compilation of software that we've all used for doing variuos things here on Caedes.

http://www.caedes.net/Zephir.cgi?lib=Wiki&page=software

May I recommend Irfanview? It's free, small, inoffensive, fast, and contains most of what you need and little that you don't.

I've reconsidered and been hearing good things about GIMP. Not sure if it's true though.

Yeah me too. On the other hand I like to stick with common packages, as there's more information available about them.

Gimp is hardly obscure. There's a huge amount of information about it. It's got to be one of the most widely used open source packages. It is well supported, too. I got assistance _very_ quickly when I found a bug - there was more-or-less immediate support with a patch within a couple of days and an update a few days later.

Not sure what the comparison is with, mind you.
