I like it, but I find the avatar just beneath the post a little distracting. Maybe if I understood the logic of why it's there, it wouldn't bother me so much.~~~I guess I'm getting used to it. Now that I think about it, seeing the avatar will make it easier to remember whose image I'm looking at in the VB.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

I love the updated layout ! I think it's very professional looking & I really like the description etc beneath the image, personally I find it less intrusive this way. But what's with the funky sizes ?
Absolutely agree about the sizes. Frankly, at this point, I couldn't care less about the layout. I can only get the appropriate size of desktop for images that were uploaded at that size (1024x768) which is to say, for very few of them and not generally the ones I'm most interested in looking at.
Hope this is an oversight and quickly fixed. Especially hope it isn't somebody's idea of a "feature"! I can't see the latter, though - the sizes are quite non-standard, aren't they?
Very nice layout, Caedes. With the "Info Box" on the bottom, it leaves more room for the preview image, so you can get mor of a feel for the image portrayed. Excellent. :o)
EDIT:
Looking back at the layout... I think I agree with Noah... O,o

I think a slight drop shadow for the preview image would help it to pop from the page.
I always try to balance the light with the heavy - a few tears of human spirit in with the sequins and the fringes ~

I'm finding the non-standard size of the views a real advantage. As an AOL UK user, I'm stuck with 3 of their toolbars obscuring part of my screen, so clicking on an image now means I see its entire enlargement without any parts missing or needing to be scrolled up or down to.
I actually want to use some of the images as desktops, though, and I don't want to have to download larger files than I need. I do realise such usage might be a bit radical...
I seem to have the sizes back now - at least 1024x768, though 800x600 is still missing (as mentioned in the main thread discussing this problem). This is a more minor problem and has only just started, so could be a blip, but now when I load an image full size (1024x768), I get a blank screen with just "Loading" which never resolves to the image itself. If I then right click and choose to view the image "here" then the image loads just fine.
Anyone else seeing this or is it some peculiarity my browser has decided to (just now) start throwing up at me?
I know you must be tired now after all that programming… what kind of cookies would you like? 8•P
