In some idle moments I tried to create a little promo video for my space wallpaper sites: Explore Space!. If you've got 42 seconds to spare check it out and let me know what you think!
Like the music. :) I also liked the video. I'm not sure if it would look better, or just give ppl a headache if you zoom in/out on certain areas of the video - the one with the astronaut (spelling) floating in space would be a good one for zooming out.
But if you dont think zooming would make it look better, i think it looks fine the way it is.
Thanks for the input guys. It was just something I put together for fun and the software I used wasn't very complicated or powerful. The music was the only free to use track I could track down in a limited time, since you have to pay attention to copyright issues there as well.
In any case I enjoyed making it, and it was something new to work with...
Hey KJ ... watched without the sound ... wait for it ... there is method to my madness here ... firstly, I think you could benefit from introducing a couple of quick edits. Given that the average viewing audience has been inundated with this type of media presentation .... even at 42 seconds, you have to maintain their interest.
If you were to use that last few seconds ... however many frames are needed to ensure a look and accompanying time frame ... and then quickly recap the images before hitting 'them' with a parting shot of your URL ... I think it would kick things up a notch or two visually and impression wise.
Loop the crescendo parts of the symphony music and just before the final frames ... hit them with that recap. At the 29 second mark to the 37 second mark, give or take.
I would use the shot of the earth as the background for your URL and final image ... and ... done. :o)
at the climax, just make a rapid change of photos, like every space photo you have in less than 5 secondsish....and zoom out on earth as the final one.... >_> or not.
