Hey, im going to be going on a hiking trip starting this friday, so i've started to do some last minutr studiying on how to take pictures so i can bring back some nice pics to caedes. If anybody has some times their welcome.. but i have one simple question...what does the Infinity mode do, and when do i use it? thanks
If you are talking about a shooting mode, it refers (usually) to photographing landscapes or object that are beyond the normal shooting range. It's just a way of letting the camera know how to set the lighting and shutter speed. I use the landscape mode (or infinity mode in your case) if it wouldn't be possible to hit the subject with a gun; that usually works. Sidenote: If you are using an SLR camera with a manual focus, infinity generally refers to anything over about 15 feet.
