I Googled my name and....FYI...

I Googled my name and all my PROFILE info was right at the top of the page...#1! Way too much info, so I changed my profile, real name, city, etc. I'm registered all over the net and my name has never generated any info at all!
Heads UP, FYI

Same here...but...

I'm not really worried about my 'profile' online; as if they could...umm...what could they do again? And who's they?

Spammers? Oh, yeah, that's why I have a junk email (noahnott@yahoo.com) and my real email (*blank*@*blank*.com). ;-)

Spamming ppl by snail-mail is also easy...just open the phone book.

Of course, my opinion. I just like to strike up some flaming towards myself.

Not to worry, Keifer ... your name googles to "Kiefer On-Line Swim Shop - 1-800-323-4071", and a bunch of stuff about Keifer Sutherland.

In fact ... you're not there anywhere! Maybe you should be offended?

edit;
Opps.. my mistake! I added your title ... the all encompassing "&" and there you are, big as life!

I have had people find me that I hoepd I would never hear from ever again. It amazes me that there are even 7 with the same first and last name and they live places that I have never been to. My husband and I went to Lake Arrowhead and stayed at a motel in the mountains and I wrote a review on teh place and that was there, with our home phone number too for the world to see.

The thing is, Google can only show information that has been made public by you or someone else. The point of the lesson is to be very careful when it comes to post personal information online. Keep it to the absolute minimum required. Also be careful when you write reviews, testimonials etc. for third parties. They might provide more info on you than you could have intended.

Looking up my username presented me with the profile of a website I don't remember going to, but obviously did. Kind of weird.
