Maybe you think, I am a bit whining, and maybe this is true. But when you look at the photo galerie (the permanent one), how many pages to you have to go, till you find a sculpture or architecture shot, that is not a pic that shows also a lot of nature? It is not only, that I have the feeling, that I will never end up in an permanent galerie (even this is the reason why I watched this since a couple of months) - I have the feeling, that nobody here has a real chance with the photo of something people would visit a lot in real world. I do not know, who decides, what will be in the permanent galeries, but I have the feeling, that this person(s) do only like nature images. I had photos with more or the same c-index like the one, that was taken into the permanent - but they did show something made by human beings. Can it be, that this person(s) simply do not like architecture? Please, do not think, that I am hunting people who are "guilty", but the fact is, that I want to know, if I ever have any chance with the topic I love - architecture, sculptures and places of woreship ...

Sabine, There are 21 pages of images in the permanent architecture gallery (total of 756) 4 pages of places of worship (total of 144) and 3 pages of sculpture (total of108). Maybe you are not clicking on and separating the photography gallery to see the sub categories.
As for who decides, the site has moderators who make decisions on images and this topic has been covered in multiple discussion threads.

The galleries you refer to represent about 10% of the permanent gallery images whereas it is only about half of that in the new uploads galleries so I wouldn’t say they are being unrepresented in the perms rather that they are not being uploaded as much as they once were. Something which is out of the hands of the moderators completely.

?!? I'm a fan of architecture! I think (not sure though) that I created the Architecture gallery.
